The effects of plastic waste constantly affect the beauty and sustainability of mother earth. This can mainly be identified in the significant amounts of plastic waste dumped in the ocean, which can be found drifting ashore around coastal areas.
Aligning with the ideals of the Serve the Planet, initiated by the SSIO, YA got together with their elders towards protecting and preserving the environment with a beach cleanup project to clear plastic wastage. This carried out on Sunday the 18th march 2018 down the Pannai coastal area, located approximately 3 km away from Jaffna town.
