Urelu in the Northern Region of Sri Lanka is a village adopted under Sri Sathya Sai Village Integrated Program (SSVIP). SSSIO Sri Lanka has been committed to providing houses for people below poverty line. As part of this the Young Adults from the northern region identified a single mother who is a daily wage earner with 2 young children aged 3 and 5 years old. Moved by their plight the Young Adults from Northern region with the help of Australian devotees decided to build a house for the family to ensure the children have a safe place to live.
On the auspicious day of Guru Poornima (24th July 2021) the foundation stone was laid.
