SSIO of Sri Lanka has initiated another Water Purification Project as part of Sathya Sai Village Integrated Project (SSVIP) in Kathaliyar Samalankulam, Oddusuddan on 13th September 2019 to provide safe drinking water for 2500 people residing in the area with a daily output of 2000 Litres assisted by Vision of Love, U.K. and 23 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, SL Army. This is the 20th Village adopted by SSIO Sri Lanka in line with the Vision 95 program by SSIO. This is a Post-War resettled village after 2010 and there are approximately 300 resettled families and the number will increase with the passage of time because of adjoining villages also in need of pure drinking water.
The SSIO of Sri Lanka received an award as an appreciation from the 23rd Vijayabaha Infantry Regiment of Sri Lankan Army.
