As a humble offering at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan, a Multi-Service Village Programme was conducted on 23 May 2026 at Uduthurai Maha Vidyalayam, Jaffna, to serve the needs of the residents of Uduthurai, Aaliyavalai and Vathirayan villages, who continue to face challenges due to limited access to medical facilities and prevailing economic hardships.
With the valuable support of the Ophthalmology Unit of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, medical officers of the Jaffna Regional Health Department and the Dental Care Unit, the programme was lovingly organised by London Vision of Love, and Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centres of Point Pedro and the Jaffna.
A range of medical and value-based services were offered, including general medical consultations, eye screening and spectacle distribution, dental screening, diabetes screening, treatment for skin conditions and health awareness programmes. In addition, sessions on the importance of prayer in daily life, guidance for parents and an introduction to Human Values Education were also conducted.
A total of 271 beneficiaries received medical services, including 213 who underwent eye screening, of whom 130 were provided with spectacles, and 70 who received dental screening. Altogether, 316 participants—including specialist doctors, medical officers, pharmacists, nurses, Sai devotees, the school principal, students and villagers—took part in this noble initiative.
The programme was carried out in a spirit of love, unity and selfless service, contributing towards improved health awareness and the holistic well-being of the village community.
