Inspired by the universal teachings of our beloved Bhagawan, Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Jaffna observed the Poson Poya Spiritual Programme on 29th June 2026 with devotion and reverence.

Early morning observances commenced with Omkar, Sai Suprabhatam and Nagarasankirtan, followed by the morning programme, which included the hoisting of the Prasanthi Flag, Veda chanting, Sai Ashtotram, Namasmarana, Gayatri Japam, Jyothi Meditation and devotional bhajans, creating a spiritually elevating atmosphere.

A special highlight of the programme was an inspiring address by Professor Dr. Samadhi Rajapaksa, Consultant Oncologist, who reflected on the harmony between the teachings of Lord Buddha and those of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, emphasising their shared message of love, selfless service and righteous living.

The sacred observance brought together members of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization, including Sis. Ramani Gammampila, Deputy Central Coordinator for Sri Lanka and Thailand, together with devotees and participants from diverse backgrounds, including students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, healthcare professionals, police officers and members of the wider Buddhist community.

The programme served as a beautiful expression of unity in spirituality, reaffirming Bhagawan's message that all religions lead to the same Divine goal. The observance concluded with Maha Mangala Arati, offered with devotion and gratitude at His Lotus Feet.

“Perform all deeds with a spirit of devotion to God and as an offering to Him. Then every action will become divine. This is the teaching of Buddha. In this world, the five senses of man play a most important role. Buddha gave utmost importance to sense control.”
