2025-12-03 | SSSIO Sri Lanka | Sri Lanka

Over a million individuals were affected as entire communities struggled with loss, uncertainty, and fear. At a time when fear and hardship touched so many lives, devotees in their respective regions came together, moved solely by love, compassion, and the call of humanity.

This report contains information of the relief efforts carried out by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi in Colombo, Western & Southern region, as well as Seva Centres across the Northern region - Jaffna, Vadamarachchi, Sangaanai, and Siththankerny. Hundreds of devotees, both young and old, joined hands with unwavering dedication to cook, pack, and distribute meals and dry-ration packs to families who had lost almost everything.

Across the affected areas of Gemunupura, Aliwatte, Orugodawatte, Wellampitiya, Hunupitiya, Dikowitta, Ja-Ela, Wattala, Dankotuwa, Thudella and several surrounding areas in W&S region and Thirumalpuram, Punit Nagar, Kottappalai, Kanpollai, Karkkovalam, Poombugaar, Ponnamma, Manianthottam,, Inba Cholai, and several surrounding areas in Northern Region devotees served with humility, compassion, and a commitment to restore hope.
Through Swami’s blessings, over 4,400 meals - lunch and dinner - were offered to those affected, along with over 450 dry-ration packs for families who had lost access to food and essentials.

The efforts of every devotee - those who cooked, packed, coordinated, transported, distributed, or simply offered a prayer - became part of one continuous stream of love. No act was small; each contribution carried the fragrance of selflessness. The seva was not just the giving of food, but the sharing of comfort, dignity, and reassurance to brothers and sisters facing hardship.

We place this entire service lovingly at the Divine Lotus Feet of our beloved Bhagawan. May the spirit of unity, compassion, and selfless service continue to guide us as we move into the next phases of relief and rebuilding.
