With the boundless grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the SSSIO Sri Lanka undertook two compassionate housing initiatives in the Northern Region during the first quarter of 2025, under the Sri Sathya Sai Housing Project.
On 19th January 2025, a completed home was handed over to a mother and her son living below the poverty line in Urelu, Jaffna. This loving offering was a collaborative effort between the Jaffna Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre and the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization of Sri Lanka, consisting of a two-bedroom house equipped with basic amenities. The family, who had been living in extremely vulnerable conditions, was gifted a safe and dignified place to call home – a true manifestation of Swami’s message of love in action.
Continuing this momentum of service, on 23rd February 2025, the foundation stone was laid for another home in Kaithady, for a family identified by the Chavakachcheri Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre. The family, comprising parents and five children, had been living in a severely dilapidated shelter with little income and no security. It was resolved to construct a new house with two bedrooms to provide them a safe and secure living environment. The project is being implemented with sincere prayers for its timely and successful completion.
Both housing initiatives reflect our shared commitment to uplift those in need, and to serve as humble instruments of Bhagawan’s love and grace.
