Inspired by the love and teachings of our beloved Bhagawan, the Northern and North Central Region Young Adults Retreat was held from 3rd to 5th July 2026 at Iyakkachchi in the Kilinochchi District. The three-day residential retreat brought together Young Adults with the objective of deepening their spiritual practices, strengthening their commitment to selfless service and inspiring self-transformation through Bhagawan's teachings.

The retreat commenced on the evening of 3rd July at Mullai Poonga, Iyakkachchi with registration, followed by devotional bhajans, an introduction to the objectives of the programme and reflections on Swami's teachings. An interactive self-introduction session enabled the Young Adults to build fellowship and strengthen the bonds of the Sai family in an atmosphere of love and unity.

The second day began in the early hours with 21 Omkars, Sai Suprabhatam, Arati and Nagarasankirtan in the surrounding community, where approximately 20 families joined the participants. Following breakfast, the morning programme commenced with the hoisting of the Prasanthi Flag, Veda chanting, devotional bhajans and Bhagawan's Divine Discourse from the 2007 World Youth Conference. A series of interactive sessions followed, covering practical aspects of spiritual living, including Money and Time Management, Sai Within Me, Life with Sai, and Mind Management. Through devotional songs, reflections, experience sharing, discussions and an engaging treasure hunt game, the Young Adults explored ways of applying Bhagawan's teachings in their daily lives. The programme also featured traditional cultural games that fostered teamwork and joyful fellowship. The evening concluded with a campfire gathering centred around Swami's chair, experience sharing, reflections by Zone 3 Young Adults on their visit to Sri Lanka, a musical offering, Maha Mangala Arati and dinner.

The final day commenced at Vettilaikkeni Beach with 21 Omkars and a yoga session, providing participants with an opportunity for prayerful reflection amidst nature. Following breakfast at Vettilaikkeni Parameswara Vidyalayam, the Young Adults participated in a Multi Seva programme, lovingly serving the local community. The programme included a medical camp offering general medical consultations, eye care and dental services. Eye screening was carried out for 23 individuals requiring further cataract management, while 106 individuals received reading glasses. Dental consultations were provided for 79 individuals. The programme was further complemented by basic life support awareness conducted with the support of the Regional Director of Health Services and the Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, together with Education in Human Values activities, Sai Within Me sessions and Narayana Seva. Through this loving initiative, approximately 250 individuals were served in a spirit of selfless love and compassion.

The retreat concluded at Iyakkachchi with a feedback session, devotional bhajans, expressions of gratitude to Bhagawan, Maha Mangala Arati and closing remarks. Throughout the three days, the programme provided a harmonious blend of sadhana, self-transformation, fellowship and selfless service, inspiring the Young Adults to become worthy instruments in fulfilling Bhagawan's divine mission.

"The World's prosperity or otherwise is based upon the character of the youth - men and women. Hence, young men and women should be pure hearted and render selfless service to the country. They should keep the company of the good and godly."
