Sathya Sai Centre of Veeramuani in Eastern region organized an awareness workshop on the effects of drugs and alcohol consumption for students from Grade 8 to Grade 12 studying at Vani Maha Vidyalayam (National School) and their parents from 4th Colony village (SSVIP village) in Ampara district on 24/01/2020. Drugs and alcohol consumption is becoming increasingly a concern among children and youths in these locations and the workshop aimed at raising awareness on the effect of drugs and alcohol consumption.
This workshop was conducted by the members from District Drugs Abolition Unit, Children Probation of Divisional Secretariat, Grama Niladhari and Police officers. Young Adults and Centre office bearers jointly organized the workshop. In total, 55 Students and 16 Parents benefitted from this workshop.
