Essential support was extended to the Elders’ Home, Kahilagoda, Badulla, operated by the Badulla Samaja Seva Sangamaya, which was severely affected by the recent floods. With water levels rising to nearly five feet, the elders had to be relocated temporarily to a safer location to ensure their safety.
The floods caused extensive damage to all household items, leaving the home in urgent need of basic essentials. The Elders’ Home currently provides care to 55 resident elders.
In response to this need, on 08th January 2026, Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Badulla provided essential items including a refrigerator, garments, and bed sheets to support the elders as they begin restoring their living conditions.
This humble act of seva was offered with love and reverence at the Divine Lotus Feet of Bhagawan, praying for health, comfort, and strength for all the elders during their recovery.
