Cyclone Ditwah Disaster Relief Seva (Phase 3) – Livelihood Assistance in Hatton.

2026-06-14 | SSSIO Sri Lanka | Hatton

As part of the ongoing Cyclone Ditwah Disaster Relief Seva, livelihood assistance was lovingly extended on 14th June 2026 by Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Hatton, to support a family whose means of livelihood had been affected by the recent floods.

A sewing machine was provided to help restore income-generating activities and support the family's efforts towards rebuilding stability and self-reliance. This initiative formed part of the continued efforts to assist families affected by Cyclone Ditwah as they recover from the challenges brought about by the disaster.

Offered in a spirit of love and selfless service, this seva reflects Swami’s message of compassion in action, bringing hope and encouragement to those rebuilding their lives.

"Seva (selfless service) brings you nearer to Me. The flower that is your heart gets fragrance by means of the seva you do, and so it becomes more acceptable to Me. Love is the essence of that fragrance."

- Sathya Sai Baba (15 November 1975)
