With the gratitude of our beloved bhagwan, Jaffna Centre had organised and conducted the value oriented sports festival on 16.04.2023 at 8.00am. 50 Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) students participated in this festival with the guidance of swami and his instruments as 10 SSE gurus. 41 parents gave support to their children with the most of them participated in the games also.
Swami gave us a theme - " Life is a game; play it ". National SSE coordinator Sri.Pon.Rajagopal was the chief guest of the sports festival. The guest was welcome by the Bicycle stunts of SSE students. 17 types of sports with each representing a value were played by SSE students, parents, SSE alumni and centre youths. SSE students gained a clear clarity about the values like sathya, dharma, shanthi, prema, ahimsha, discrimination, balancing the life, group coordination etc... through this sports festival. The spectators were thrilled by the gymnastic performance of SSE boys and enjoyed by the drill display of SSE girls. Then there were tug of wars between SSE alumni , parents and centre youths , Bhakthi yatra game for parents and fast walking for parents and gurus. There were some interactive sessions with the parents about the progression of sports festival and with the SSE students about what they gained by playing these value oriented sports activities. Finally the festival was honoured by the chief guest's address and with the prize giving ceremony where all the SSE students received prizes. At the end all the participants and devotees were provided with lunch.
