Within the last 3 months construction of 3 houses have been completed and another 3 are being constructed. The 3 houses that were completed are one in Urelu for a family with mentally deformed girl and for another woman headed family in Katkovalam in the Northern Region. The 3rd house is for 2 children (girl and boy) aged 8 and 6 who have been deserted by their parents and living with their maternal Grand Mother Chavakachcheri in the Northern Region. Another 3 houses are being constructed, 2 in Kandy and 1 in Manthikai (woman headed families).
A temporary shelter was built in Kankesanthurai, Northern Region for a deaf & dumb women headed family.
