The Sai Young Adults of the Sathya Sai Centre in Point Pedro and Katkovalam had planted coconut trees for 250 families of the Thevanpitty Village in the Mannar District on 17 November 2020. This comes under the Go Green Project that aligns with the ideals of Save the Planet which was initiated by SSIO. These families earn their living based on daily wages and this village is under poverty. In another 2-3 years, these coconut trees will increase the source of income for these villagers. Each family in this village had received three coconut trees. There are two schools near the village and each school received five coconut trees.
