AROT is a support group/institute based in Jaffna that addresses the needs and problems of Physically Handicapped people. The Young Adults of the Sathya Sai Centre in Jaffna visit this group once in two months to have a Bhajan, and spend time speaking to the participants to make them feel loved and cared for. The objective is to give them the confidence that they are not different from any other human being and to make them appreciate what they are blessed with in life, instead of worrying about what they aren’t given, or what is taken from them unexpectedly.
This activity serves as a point of self-reflection for the Young Adults as well and helps them appreciate everything they are blessed with, including the ability and opportunity to serve those who are less fortunate than they are in life. The visit for November coincided with Swami’s birthday with a special birthday bhajan on the 20th of November.
