The Young adults of Sri Sathya Sai Center Jaffna, Northern Region initiated a 3 month tailoring course for 12 women who needed livelihood support in January 2021. This project was supported by Canadian devotees.
A graduation ceremony and an exhibition were conducted on the Guru Poornima day (24th July 2021) for the 10 women who had successfully completed this training program. They were awarded with a certificate, tailoring scissor, and a Swami’s Photo.
All participants were given training on the following:
1. Stitching techniques
2. Pillow cover stitching
3. Baby suit stitching
4. baby frock stitching
5. Saree skirt stitching
6. School uniform stitching
7. Dress stitching
8. Salwar stitching
9. Saree blouse with lining stitching
10. Saree blouse without lining stitching
